Drive Lister is a Chrome extension designed to help automotive dealership staff streamline their workflow by extracting vehicle information from dealer websites and facilitating posting to Facebook Marketplace.

Available in two tiers: Free (5 lifetime vehicles) and Pro ($49/month for 850 vehicles/month with AI descriptions and batch posting).

Information Collection and Use

Data We Access
Drive Lister accesses the following information solely for the purpose of extracting vehicle details and facilitating marketplace postings:

1.Vehicle Information from Dealer Websites: The extension reads publicly available vehicle listing data (make, model, year, price, VIN, mileage, color, body style, etc.) from automotive dealer websites when you navigate to a vehicle detail page.
2. Facebook Marketplace Forms: The extension accesses Facebook Marketplace form fields to autofill vehicle information when you initiate a marketplace listing.

Data Storage

Local Storage Only: All vehicle data extracted by Drive Lister is stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API. No vehicle data is transmitted to external servers owned or operated by Drive Lister.

Subscription Data: Your subscription status (Free/Pro tier), usage count, and quota limits are stored locally and synced with our payment processor for verification.

No Vehicle Cloud Storage: We do not maintain any cloud servers or databases that store your vehicle information or browsing data.

Third-Party Services: ExtensionPay
When you upgrade to the Pro tier, payment processing is handled by ExtensionPay, our trusted payment partner:

Information Collected by ExtensionPay: Email address and payment method information (credit card, PayPal, etc.)

What Drive Lister Receives: We only receive your subscription status (Free or Pro) and email address from ExtensionPay. We do NOT have access to your payment details or credit card information.

Browsing history beyond the specific dealer pages you explicitly extract from- Facebook login credentials or personal Facebook data- Payment information (handled entirely by ExtensionPay)- Analytics or tracking data about your browsing behavior

Permissions Explanation

Why We Need Broad Host Permissions

Drive Lister requests `<all_urls>` host permissions because:
‍
1. Multi-Dealer Support: The extension works with various automotive dealer websites, which have different domain names and structures. We cannot predict which specific dealer websites you need to extract data from.
2. Content Script Injection: To extract vehicle data, we need to inject content scripts into dealer website pages. This requires host permissions for those domains.
3. Facebook Marketplace Integration: We need access to Facebook Marketplace pages to enable the autofill functionality.

Actual Usage of Permissions
Despite having broad host permissions, the extension only activates on:- Automotive dealer website vehicle detail pages- Facebook Marketplace listing creation pages
The extension does not monitor, track, or interfere with your browsing on other websites.

Data Sharing and Third Parties
No Vehicle Data Sharing: Drive Lister does not share, sell, or transmit your vehicle data to any third parties.
‍ExtensionPay Only: The only third party we share data with is ExtensionPay (email address and subscription status for payment processing).
‍No Analytics: We do not use analytics services to track your browsing or usage patterns.-
‍No Advertising: We do not serve advertisements or use advertising networks.
‍Facebook Data: When you post to Facebook Marketplace, data goes directly from your browser to Facebook (we don't intercept or store it).

Data Security

All data remains local to your browser- Data is only accessible by the extension and is isolated from other extensions- You can clear all stored data at any time by uninstalling the extension or clearing Chrome's extension storage.

User Control

You have complete control over your data:
Delete Vehicles: Remove individual vehicles anytime from the extension
View Storage: You can inspect data stored by the extension in Chrome's developer tools
Clear All Data: Uninstalling the extension removes all locally stored data
Cancel Subscription: Cancel your Pro subscription anytime through ExtensionPay
Disable Extension: You can disable the extension at any time without losing stored vehicles

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
